Hi, I’m Mel — the baker, dreamer, and heart behind Mel’s Munchies.
A few years ago, my life looked very different. I was just beginning my journey in recovery, trying to rebuild piece by piece. Somewhere along the way, I found peace in the kitchen — the quiet rhythm of measuring, mixing, and creating something sweet out of simple ingredients. Baking became my therapy, my gratitude practice, and eventually… my purpose.
Mel’s Munchies was born from that gratitude — from learning that life can become something beautiful and full again, one day at a time. Every cupcake I bake is a little celebration of second chances, growth, and the joy that comes from doing what you love.
Now, you can find me at local Florida markets with my amazing husband spreading smiles and sugar one bite at a time. My kitchen may be small, but my heart (and oven) are full.
